Nature and Bird Watching There is an abundance of wildlife in the forest. The natural and ancient forest is also planted in places by the forestry commision in a sympathetic way. Two lochs and a few ponds with the variety of trees means that an amazing variety of wildlife abounds. Red squirrels and woodpeckers come right into the courtyard and many rare species of insect and bird life are in the area.
